Austin Scott Hampton

Austin Scott Hampton, 16, of Hannibal, passed away, at 2:02 PM Saturday, May 5, 2012 at Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal.

Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal. Rev. Dale Cochran will officiate. Burial will be at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home. Austin's classmates and friends are invited to attend the services.

Austin was born April 12, 1996, in Quincy, Illinois to Scott David and Jeana French Hampton.

Survivors include his parents, of Hannibal, MO, 2 Sisters, Payge Hampton and Kristin Hampton of the home and 1 nephew, Dravyn Finlaw, grandparents, Marcia Anderson of Hannibal, MO, Dave Hampton of Texas, Mary Baker and Thomas French, great grandmothers, Marjorie Powell and Virginia Hampton both of Hannibal, MO, 2 uncles, Jeremy French and Sean Hampton (Christa), great aunt, Myrna Powell and several uncles, aunts and many cousins.

He is preceded in death by his great grandparents; Toby Powell, Herbert Hampton, Judith Borries, Elizabeth French, William French and Robert Borries.

Austin was a student at Hannibal High School. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and liked computers, playing X-box and swimming. Austin attended the Freewill Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be Wesley DeClue, Ian Robertson, Dillon Rickey, Chasen Lampton, Braydon Hampton and Jeremy French.

Honorary pallbearers will be all of Austin's close friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Pirate Family Foundation in care of the James O'Donnell Funeral Home.
